Woodworking Training | ||
| Come learn woodworking
from an experienced cabinetmaker. You can make furniture like this if you are shown how! | ||
| If you would like to learn the techniques needed to make these pieces, or if you just need help with a particular project, you can learn from Peter Anderson here in the most photographed village in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Personal tuition will be tailored to your individual needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced hobbyist. Let your partner enjoy shopping, sightseeing, walking, skiing or just lounging around while you learn the serious business of uncompromising workmanship in wood. | ||
| Most people still believe that years of practice and experience are needed to do fine woodworking. In reality, now that power tools for the home workshop are affordable, woodworking to high standards is achievable from the outset. Lack of experience is no longer a reason for sticking to simple projects. Skills with hand tools may take years to learn but good procedures with power tools can be applied immediately, resulting in straight edges, true surfaces, accurate dimensions and precise joints every time. My training approach is to teach you how to use these procedures to make fine furniture. This will give you an understanding of wood and how to prepare it so that subsequent operations produce perfect results. You will learn how to make perfect joints with everyday power tools and simple jigs. My aim is to show that fine woodworking is within everyone’s ability. | ||
| Training is available on weekends as well as weekdays. Call or e-mail to discuss your particular training needs. You may arrange for two people to be trained at the same time if you wish. | ||
